This SAATCA-registered course focuses on transferring skills necessary to enable students to become qualified lead environmental management system (EMS) auditors. The course conforms to the international guidelines for auditing management systems (ISO 19011) and International requirements for certification bodies (ISO 17021).
This course will equip students with knowledge of the requirements of the auditing standards and the ability to successfully plan, execute and report on EMS audits, as well as to act as lead auditors in EMS audits. EMS requirements (based on ISO 14001: 2015) and South African environmental legal requirements are used as auditing criteria.
