What is this course about?

This two-day course provides delegates with an overview of the contaminated land provisions as contained in the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008 (NEM: WA) Chapter 4: Part 8, as well as the framework for the management of contaminated land as published by the Department of Environmental Affairs.

Course content:

In order to identify and apply the principles and requirements of legislation governing contaminated land, the following modules will be covered:

• Background to and legal principles of waste and contaminated land management; and
• The management of contaminated land.

Course Entry Requirements

A Grade 12 certificate and preferably also: Basic knowledge of/and relevant experience in the legal provisions relating to and management of contaminated land.
