What is this course about?

This course focuses on understanding:

  • The basic science behind climate change in line with the position of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC);
  • The international, regional, national and local policy and legal frameworks to address climate change challenges and leverage opportunities;
  • Mitigation and adaptation strategies to respond to climate change;
  • Governance and management solutions to address climate change threats and opportunities; and
  • The role of financial and other instruments
